How might a matchbox be repurposed? Nowadays, space is becoming more limited. Many people prefer a minimalist environment. But how do toys fit into this scenario? Miniature toys require less space but even more attention.
With a moment of surprise, the user discovers something unexpected inside the supposed matchbox: parts of a toy airplane.
The satisfaction of unpacking continues as you carefully remove each part from the wooden board. These individual pieces can now be assembled correctly, forming a secure connection by sliding one piece into another.
How can the content of the matchbox be related to the box itself? By reintegrating the box’s primary purpose into the design: carrying the matches. The plane assembly will only be completed by adding a single match to its center. Without the match as its backbone, it will always remain just a pile of random pieces.
